apartment hunting.

The last weekend of April we went to Alicante trying to find an apartment. Comparing the housing situation in Hamburg, we knew we could easily save money and find a great place to start renting only a few days after. In Spain it is very common to buy houses and apartments, while we are still used to renting a place. The largest amount of all listings we found online (mainly on idealista) was „amueblado“ (furnished) which would save us even more money and make moving in a lot easier.

My boyfriend had started calling landlords since the beginning of April but we were only successfull a few days ahead and ended up at six different apartments – from Benidorm to Altea and Cala de Finestrat. Spaniards are definitely spontaneous.

Unfortunately we only started taking pictures of the apartments after the first one… but the first one was amazing! Above is the house from the outside, the only proof we had to show everyone after this successful day! Not too close to the beach (with all the drunk party people) but still easy to reach, supermarkets and shopping possibilities are close and the surrounding is quiet and chic.

After a relaxing weekend with my boyfriends family and pre-birthday celebrations we ended up signing the contract on my birthday!
